This book。 This series。 I started this series late summer this year and it was my goal to complete it by the new year。 I’m happy to say that I completed this challenge but I’m even happier to have found a book series that now means so much to me。 The author dedicated this final book to her parents - “who taught me to believe that girls can save the world”。 And I just want to thank the author for helping me see that message in such a beautiful way by telling a story of growth, discovery, love, ha This book。 This series。 I started this series late summer this year and it was my goal to complete it by the new year。 I’m happy to say that I completed this challenge but I’m even happier to have found a book series that now means so much to me。 The author dedicated this final book to her parents - “who taught me to believe that girls can save the world”。 And I just want to thank the author for helping me see that message in such a beautiful way by telling a story of growth, discovery, love, hardship and facing one’s demons in order to be a beacon of light in this world。 I love this series so much and will not forget all the characters I love anytime soon。 。。。more

I don't know what to say other than I am filled with plenty of emotion。 Reading this final Throne of Glass novel, if I can even call it that, has been a true labor of love for me。 I started reading it just over a year ago, and had to push myself to finish it before this year's end。 And what a way to finish off 2022。 To finish off the series that I started what feels like ages ago。 I was a different person when I first started off these books, and I find myself reminiscing on how these books have I don't know what to say other than I am filled with plenty of emotion。 Reading this final Throne of Glass novel, if I can even call it that, has been a true labor of love for me。 I started reading it just over a year ago, and had to push myself to finish it before this year's end。 And what a way to finish off 2022。 To finish off the series that I started what feels like ages ago。 I was a different person when I first started off these books, and I find myself reminiscing on how these books have carried me through so much of my life。 While I did take quite a long time to finish Kingdom of Ash (due to indefinitely pausing my reading at the 75% mark), I find myself giving this book 5 stars。 Not for the novel itself, but for what the series has meant to me throughout the years。 It helped spark within me the desire to read, to broaden my imagination, and to dare to dream bigger。 I find myself teary eyed, literally minutes after having finished reading this massive book。I will say that this book is quite long, which is likely the reason why I paused reading it to begin with。 There were some parts that I was not as interested in, which made it harder to get through。 But what those were, I cannot tell you, given how sporadically I was reading it。 It is for this reason that I would have given Kingdom of Ash 4 stars。 But my aforementioned history reading the books while growing up, and also the love I have grown to feel for the characters, bumped my rating up to a 5。While there are so many characters who have all come to mean something to me, saying goodbye to Aelin, Chaol, and Dorian was especially challenging。 Oh Dorian。 I love that man like no other, and I dare say he is my favourite character of this series。 Seeing his growth throughout the series has been quite a pleasure, to say the least。 Don't think I've forgotten about Elide, Yrene, Manon, Lysandra, and Nehemia and Sorscha, whose lives were taken too soon。 These strong women have empowered me somehow, and I feel so lucky to have watched them grow into themselves。 Yes, yes, there are many other characters like Rowan and Fenrys and Aedion and Lorcan, and dear Gavriel, but I think I could go on and on about the many characters that I have come to feel strongly for。To make a long story short, this is my love letter to the Throne of Glass series, that has joined me through my own journeys throughout the years, and has filled me with excitement, determination, happiness, hope, and love。 Reading this series was not a perfect journey, but it was one that I will never forget。 All I have to say is thank you, to Sarah J。 Maas for creating this series and introducing me to its characters。 And with that being said, Happy New Year! May 2023 be filled with as much kingsflame as one could ever dream of。OH! P。S。 That little cameo of Rhys and Feyre had me SQUEALING! It made me so happy *insert happy sigh* 。。。more

Astounding - This is up there in my list of all time favourite series I have ever read, there is only 5 series in this list and this is battling for 1st place。 Seriously these books are freaking amazing, I wish I could put across just how brilliant they are through this review but nothing I say will do it justice。 What I will say is, if you want a series that will make you feel all the emotions in the rainbow, you want badass characters (very hot too) in a high fantasy setting, constant surprise Astounding - This is up there in my list of all time favourite series I have ever read, there is only 5 series in this list and this is battling for 1st place。 Seriously these books are freaking amazing, I wish I could put across just how brilliant they are through this review but nothing I say will do it justice。 What I will say is, if you want a series that will make you feel all the emotions in the rainbow, you want badass characters (very hot too) in a high fantasy setting, constant surprises (in a good way), so much action and an outright escape from the world - this will be what you need。 This series will consume your thoughts days, weeks, months after you have read them。 I am gutted I have finished this is one of those series you wish you could read again for the first time again and again。 。。。more

2。5 stars。 Some quick thoughts: Too long, too boring。 Dorian acted so out of character at times in this book, him transforming into a women was just gross because of the way he acted。 wasn’t a huge fan that conveniently none of the main cast dies in the war。 the forced pairing of every character was annoying especially since it just made the series even longer。 it’s ok to have characters not in a relationship - it’s not the end all。 and speaking of that, any character that did die was not part o 2。5 stars。 Some quick thoughts: Too long, too boring。 Dorian acted so out of character at times in this book, him transforming into a women was just gross because of the way he acted。 wasn’t a huge fan that conveniently none of the main cast dies in the war。 the forced pairing of every character was annoying especially since it just made the series even longer。 it’s ok to have characters not in a relationship - it’s not the end all。 and speaking of that, any character that did die was not part of a pairing。 this series has such a good lead up but really fumbled the endgame imo。 My enjoyment of the series started lessening around the 5th book。 Why does everyone immediately worship Aelin and anyone who shows any actual debate against her is seen horribly? my reread was too far apart this year so I had trouble remembering things which probably made it harder for me but my personal life didn’t allow me to pick up this chunky book and honestly I knew a part of myself probably wouldn’t have enjoyed much anyways and I was correct so it made me put it off even more。 。。。more

Just when I was happy that some action was happening when Chaol died, he was brought back to life🤦🏻‍♀️ In its way, it's a fun series but maybe afterall, it's not my type of series; it's kind of soft & I always correctly expected a happy ending。 I need seri Bruh Maas needs to learn how to kill important characters。 I can't believe this whole series has passed and no wrenching death has occurred。 Plus what is this trend of hers of killing important characters and then bringing them back to life???
